Victor Moraila has extensive work experience in the mining industry. Victor currently serves as the Chief Mine Engineer at Arizona Sonoran Copper Company Inc. (ASCU:TSX | ASCUF:OTCQX), a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Nevada Gold Mines as the Chief Engineer from February 2021 to March 2023, and as a Senior Engineer from January 2020 to January 2021. Before joining Nevada Gold Mines, Victor worked at Kiewit Mining Group as a Project Engineer from January 2019 to December 2019. Victor also held various roles at SSR Mining Inc., including Mine Operations Superintendent from October 2017 to September 2018, and Chief Mine Engineer from April 2014 to October 2017. Victor's earlier experiences include working at Goldcorp Inc. as a Senior Mine Engineer from March 2009 to April 2014, Chief Planning and Projects from August 2007 to March 2009, Planning Engineer from July 2005 to August 2007, and Surveyor Supervisor from January 2004 to July 2005. Throughout their career, Victor has gained expertise in mine engineering, project management, mine planning, and operations support.
Victor Moraila earned a Master's degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, studying from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Mining Engineering from the Universidad de Sonora, where they studied from 1996 to 2003. Additionally, they received certifications in "How to Train Your Brain for Maximum Growth" from LinkedIn in November 2022 and a Professional Master certification from the Colorado School of Mines in December 2021.
