Micheal Copeland is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as the Portfolio Manager for Private Markets at Arizona State Retirement System since February 2016, overseeing a private equity portfolio valued at $3.8 billion and a real estate portfolio worth $6 billion. Prior to this role, Micheal held positions as Assistant PM of Real Estate at Arizona State Retirement System from June 2013 to February 2015 and as an Investment Analyst at Protective Life from August 2007 to May 2013, where a significant achievement included redesigning the Bloomberg trading system to enhance reporting efficiency. Micheal's career began in the U.S. Marine Corps from January 2000 to January 2006 as a Logistics Vehicle Operator, during which notable accolades included a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. Micheal holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Finance from the University of Florida, obtained in 2007.
