Christopher Neill attended Hadleigh High School from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained their GCSEs. Christopher then attended Colchester Sixth Form College from 2009 to 2011 to complete their A Levels. Afterward, from 2011 to 2015, Christopher studied at Durham University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Modern Languages. During their time at Durham University, in 2014, they participated in an Erasmus exchange program at the Universidad de Salamanca, focusing on Spanish literature. In 2013, they also participated in another Erasmus exchange program at the Université de Tours, focusing on French literature. In 2015, Christopher pursued further education by attending Canterbury Christ Church University, where they completed a Postgraduate Certificate In Education (Secondary - MFL) in an unspecified field of study.
Additionally, Christopher Neill earned their Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the National College for Teaching & Leadership in July 2016. Furthermore, in February 2023, they obtained the National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching (NPQLT) from the Ambition Institute.
