Ahmed Hussein

Ahmed Hussein is a Senior Simulation Engineer at Ark, with extensive experience in software engineering and research within the fields of mechanical engineering and materials science. Previous roles include Head of Software Engineering at Neurophos, Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Lightmatter, and Staff Research and Development Engineer at Canon Nanotechnologies. Ahmed contributed to the development of photonic machine learning accelerators and created a graduate-level course in computational fluid dynamics at The Johns Hopkins University. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, Ahmed also has a strong research background, including positions at the Air Force Research Laboratory and Johns Hopkins University, focusing on materials behavior and multiscale computational simulations. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and additional degrees from Cairo University in Solid and Structural Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering.
