Thomas Waples

Thomas Waples is a Senior Underwriter at ARK Syndicate Management Limited, with expertise in specialty reinsurance, covering diverse sectors such as Agriculture, Aviation, Cyber, and Nuclear. Previously at Aspen Insurance Group, Thomas progressed from Underwriting Graduate to Underwriter and played a key role in managing a diverse Engineering and Special Risks portfolio, including the Nuclear and Cyber sectors. Thomas has extensive experience in treaty submissions, technical analysis, and developing underwriting strategies, while also building strong relationships with brokers and representing the company at international events. Thomas holds a BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Southampton and has completed various roles in compliance and consulting earlier in the career.
