Steve Metcalf

VP of Power Production & Delivery at Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas

Steve Metcalf is vice president of power production and delivery for Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC) and is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of AECC’s transmission resources and wholly owned generation fleet. He joined AECC in 1981 and has held a variety of positions, most recently as senior director of power production. During his tenure at AECC, Steve has had an active role in the design, construction, commissioning, repowering and/or acquisition of eight of the cooperatives’ 10 wholly owned power production facilities.

Steve is a former chairman of the Saline County Regional Solid Waste Management District board of directors, a former member of the Arkansas Inter-District Waste Tire Management Program board of directors and a past advisor on the U.S. Department of Energy-sponsored Southeast Regional Bioenergy Roundtable. He is currently a member of the Electric Power Research Institute Generation Section Council. Steve has a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arkansas and is a registered professional engineer in Arkansas.
