Arkansas PBS
Julie Thomas has a diverse work experience. Julie started their career as the Director of Marketing and Engagement for Arkansas PBS, where they led a team in managing marketing, promotions, graphic design, digital media, and engagement. Julie then moved on to work for the American Red Cross as an International Communication Associate, where they created and executed communications strategies for the Measles Initiative, a global health effort. Julie worked with four founding partners to plan, communicate, and promote the initiative.
Julie Thomas received their Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin. Julie graduated from the university in 1993 after studying there from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, Julie also obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, such as "Communicating Across Cultures," "Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues," "Skills for Inclusive Conversations," "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences," "Creating a Positive and Healthy Work Environment," "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging," "Inclusive Leadership," "Unconscious Bias," and "Excel Essential Training (Office 365)." Julie obtained these certifications in 2020, with most of them being achieved in August or September of that year.
