Christopher Thigpen has extensive experience in academia and field research related to biology and zoology. Currently serving as a Temporary Instructor of Biology at Arkansas State University since May 2013, Thigpen has also held positions as a Specimen Preparator, preparing various specimens for educational purposes, and as a Teaching Assistant for multiple laboratory courses. Previous roles include conducting endangered bat surveys as a Field Technician for the U.S. Forest Service and as an Independent Contractor at Mitigation Surveying Services, LLC. Additional research experience includes assessing water quality in the Farris lab and monitoring Eastern Bluebird populations. Christopher Thigpen holds a Master of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology, both from Arkansas State University.
