Erik Penning

Erik Penning has extensive experience in communication and marketing roles spanning several organizations over two decades. Currently serving as Woordvoerder at Arkin since November 2025, Erik previously held the position of Woordvoerder - communicatieadviseur at Gemeente Velsen, supporting Mayor Frank Dales and Alderman Sander Smeets from November 2019 to October 2025. Erik’s background includes advisory roles at Rabobank, both as an Adviseur Marketing, Communicatie & Coöperatie and Marketing & Communicatie Adviseur at Rabobank Noord-Kennemerland, as well as serving as Communicatieadviseur at Hoogheemraadschap van Rijnland. Prior experiences include account management and communications consultancy at agencies such as De Amsterdamse School and marketing communications for Handicare Stairlifts BV. Erik holds a Doctorandus degree in Communicatiewetenschap from Radboud University and has completed education at Saxion University of Applied Sciences and Het Erasmus.
