Miranda Boer has a diverse background in public relations and communication, with experience in various industries including supermarkets, foodservice, and environmental promotion. Miranda is also a qualified yoga instructor, having completed their RYT200 Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at De Nieuwe Yogaschool in Amsterdam. Miranda currently holds a senior public relations adviser role at Stichting Afvalfonds Verpakkingen and manages PR and communication at a yoga center on a substitute basis. Miranda previously held managerial positions in PR and communication at CBL and served as a secretary at Stichting Promotie Glasbak. Miranda completed their education at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and Leiden University.

Stichting Afvalfonds Verpakkingen In Nederland zijn bedrijven die verpakte producten op de markt brengen wettelijk verplicht te zorgen voor het inzamelen en recyclen van de verpakkingen: de producentenverantwoordelijkheid. Het Afvalfonds heeft deze verantwoordelijkheid van de bedrijven op zich genomen, inclusief het statiegeldsysteem. Het verpakkend bedrijfsleven betaalt hiervoor een bijdrage per kilo verpakkingen aan het Afvalfonds Verpakkingen: de afvalbeheerbijdrage.
