Head Of Creative And Extended Curriculum at Ark

Margaret O'Shea has extensive work experience in various roles related to music and education. Margaret is currently working as the Head of Creative and Extended Curriculum at Ark since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Artistic Director at Farnham Youth Choir starting from January 2021. Margaret also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees at the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain from January 2020 onwards. Margaret worked as a Visiting Fellow at Ambition Institute from September 2020 to July 2022. Moreover, Margaret was the Courses Director at Sing Ireland from July 2021 to May 2022. Margaret also held multiple roles at Ark Schools, including Director of Music from September 2017 to May 2022 and Network Lead for Primary Music and Vocal Work from January 2012 to September 2021. Additionally, they worked as a Curriculum Specialist at Oak National Academy from July 2020 to July 2021, and as a Teacher of Music at Alexandra College from September 2007 to July 2012.

Margaret O'Shea completed their Bachelor of Music Education at Trinity College Dublin from 2003 to 2007. Margaret then pursued their Masters of Music in Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music from 2009 to 2011.
