Marco Panniello

Sales Director at Arktis Radiation Detectors

Marco Panniello has a strong background in radiation detectors and physics research. Marco began their career as a PhD fellow at INFN, focusing on the characterization of Accelerating Cavities. After completing their PhD, they worked as a Postdoc at the Max Planck Institute, where they developed beam loss detectors for the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) Experiment. During this time, they also optimized SiPMs and conducted Montecarlo simulations. Following their work at the Max Planck Institute, they joined Tracerco Ltd as a Development Physicist and Radiation Protection Supervisor. At Tracerco, they were responsible for developing new technologies and ensuring radiation safety. Marco then joined AGAR sport management, where they served as a Ju Jitsu - Self Defense Instructor and later as the Public Relations Delegate for Europe. In 2015, they joined INFN again, this time as a Research Scientist, focusing on the development of a proton accelerator for medical applications. Marco also worked as a Sales Director, Director Of Business Development, Technical Sales Manager, and Radiation Protection Officer at Arktis Radiation Detectors Ltd. In these roles, they were responsible for sales, business development, and technical sales management. Overall, Marco Panniello has a diverse range of experiences in the fields of radiation detection, physics research, and martial arts instruction.

Marco Panniello obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Physics from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, which they attended from 1998 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a diploma as a perito industriale in elettronica from VII Itis. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification as a Radiation Protection Supervisor from Tracerco Ltd in June 2012.
