Carla Henckel

Carla Henckel currently serves as the Director of Communications for Arla Foods Deutschland, beginning in January 2024, where responsibilities include leading the German Communications team and managing comprehensive communication strategies across public affairs, external communication, consumer relations, and internal communication. Prior to this role, Carla spent over seven years at ALDI SÜD, primarily as a Public Affairs Team Leader focusing on sustainability, agricultural, and energy/climate policy. Previous experience includes working as a Public Affairs Specialist in the office of a Member of the German Parliament and in various roles at Bielefeld University and the German Federal Foreign Office. Carla holds a Master of European Studies from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from Bielefeld University, along with further education in Business Administration and completion of the ERASMUS Programme at Sciences Po Bordeaux.
