Prasanth Balachandran

Prasanth Balachandran has a diverse work experience in the chemical industry. Prasanth began their career at LORD Corporation as a Senior Technical Engineer, focusing on technical and business development for adhesives in the automotive segment. Prasanth then worked at McLube Division, McGee Industries, Inc. as a Business Development Manager, responsible for sales and business development of specialty release coatings in Southeast Asia and Greater China.

In 2007, Balachandran joined LANXESS India Private Limited as the Head of the Business Unit for High Performance Elastomers, where they were responsible for sales and marketing of elastomers in the ISC region. Prasanth closely collaborated with original equipment manufacturers, Tier 2 customers, and Indian Rubber Industry Associations.

Prasanth later joined LANXESS as the Global Key Account Manager - Asia, overseeing global key account management in Asia and aligning strategies with headquarters. Balachandran then moved to LANXESS China Chemical Company Ltd as the Marketing Manager - Asia, where they led marketing activities for the high-performance elastomer business unit in Asia.

Balachandran joined Arlanxeo Singapore Pte Ltd as the Sales Director for the Asia Pacific region, managing sales operations and strategies. Prasanth was recently promoted within the company to become the Global Business Director, overseeing the Butyl & Butadiene Elastomers business unit.

Most recently, Balachandran took on a new role as the Global Business Director for Butadiene Rubbers & Styrene Elastomers at ARLANXEO.

Prasanth Balachandran completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Polymer Engineering from MG University, Kerala, India in the years 1996 to 2000. Later, from 2005 to 2007, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from ICFAI University. Additionally, Prasanth also studied Business Strategy and Financial Performance at INSEAD, though specific dates for this education are not provided.
