Kate Murray

Kate Murray is an experienced educator currently serving as a 6-8 social studies teacher and middle Academy teacher at Arlington Heights School District 25 since August 2021. Previously, Kate held positions as a literacy teacher and long-term substitute teacher at Northwest Allen County Schools, and as a teacher's assistant at Creative Treasures Preschool. Early career roles included working in the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago and as an independent consultant for Usborne Books & More. From August 2006 to October 2012, Kate taught history and English to 7th graders at CCSD 46, collaborating with Special Education and English Language Departments. Kate also contributed as an adjunct instructor at Dominican University, guiding teacher candidates in Social Sciences methods. Education credentials include a BS in Economics and a MAT in Education from Dominican University, with ongoing graduate studies in Educational Leadership and Administration at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
