Raymond McDonald has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Raymond began their career as a Credit Controller at Stamco Timber Ltd in 1997. From 2000 to 2003, they worked as an Administrative Assistant and Technology Assistant at the Region VII Education Service Center. In 2003, they joined Katy ISD as a Technology Support Analyst, eventually becoming a Technology Support Center Supervisor in 2007. Raymond then moved to Energy Maintenance Services in 2012, where they held the position of Helpdesk Manager, overseeing various IT functions and projects. In 2014, they joined Houston ISD as an IT Service Desk Manager. Currently, Raymond is working at Arlington ISD, where they initially served as the Manager of Technology Operations and is now the Assistant Director of Technology Support and Customer Service.

Raymond McDonald attended UCL from 1979 to 1980 and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physics/Astronomy. Prior to that, they attended Hastings Grammar School from 1973 to 1979. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the KCS Foundations certification from HDI in 2018, ITIL Foundations in 2008, and HDI Team Supervisor certification in 2007.
