Darrell Sampson

Darrell Sampson, EdD, MA, LPC, NCC, currently serves as the Executive Director of the Office of Student Services for Arlington Public Schools since September 2022. Prior to this role, Darrell held several positions within Alexandria City Public Schools, including Executive Director of Student Support Teams and Director of K-12 School Counseling. Experience in Fairfax County Public Schools included roles as Manager of Student Services Support, Educational Specialist, School Counseling Resource Counselor, and School Counselor. Darrell’s career began as a Choral Teacher in both Prince William County and Fauquier County Public Schools, along with a position at Wayland Academy. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Education Policy, Organization, & Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an endorsement in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia, and multiple degrees in education and music from The George Washington University, the University of Oklahoma, and Millikin University.
