Tyrone Byrd, Ed.D., currently serves as the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Arlington Public Schools, a role held since July 2016, and has also been the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Director of Secondary Education within the same district. In addition, Tyrone Byrd is an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University since May 2023 and has been a Principal at Falls Church City Public Schools since April 2008. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Art/Art Studies from Hampton University, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from George Mason University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech.
