Melissa Dunlap

Melissa Dunlap is the Education & Workforce Development Program Manager at ARM Institute. Melissa has over eight years of experience in the non-profit sector, with a focus on grant management and program development.

Prior to their current role, Melissa served as the Director of Specialized Programs and Grant Management at Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania, where they were responsible for developing and submitting all foundation, government, corporate, EITC, SECA, CFC Capital and United Way grant requests totaling nearly $1,000,000 annually. In this role, they also built and stewarded relationships with existing and targeted corporate, community and foundation partners; served as the liaison to manage the recruitment, development, and expansion of programmatic partnerships; facilitated the development of program curriculum and evaluations to meet measurable outcomes; and compiled data from evaluations for reporting requirements.

Melissa also served as project manager responsible for logistics for council-wide restricted programmatic offerings including a Nationwide 16-council Outdoor Initiative. In this role, they were responsible for the development and management of council Outreach efforts, including managing staff and overseeing program delivery for 500 girls. Melissa also worked with cross functional collaborative teams to provide the best overall experience for our external and internal constituents; oversaw the restricted grant program staff to ensure all programmatic design, development and implementation milestones were met; and was accountable for managing the council’s foundation and United Way funding including the creation and supervision of departmental budgets and of all restricted grant spending

Melissa Dunlap has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education and Professional Writing from LaRoche College. Melissa also has certification from Pa Teaching Certificate.
