Amit Kakkar

Amit Kakkar is a seasoned engineering professional with over 28 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Arm since December 2005, Amit leads a team focused on developing memory compilers for advanced process technologies. Previously, Amit held positions such as Manager of the Memory Group and Manager of Memory at PIPD Europe, overseeing teams in multiple international locations. Earlier career experience includes roles at ARM, Philips Innovation Campus India as a Project Manager for ASIC development, Motorola India as a Project Leader for wireless SOC designs, and Texas Instruments as an Engineer involved in flash memory controller design. Amit earned a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an M.Tech in Microelectronics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
