Doug Joseph is a Senior Principal Research Engineer at Arm since April 2018, leading research on analytics and machine learning for detecting adversarial attacks and anomalies across software/firmware, large IoT networks, and deep learning models. Previously, Doug served as a Principal Research Staff Member at IBM from June 1985 to April 2018, where contributions included working on memory controllers and VMM chip sets for the first two generations of RS/6000 workstations, as well as spearheading architecture and development teams for high-performance networks on Department of Energy ASCI systems. Doug holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder, completed between 1990 and 1996.
