Arm Ambassador

Douglas Ayitey is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology, education, and innovation. Currently serving as a Member at the AI FOR DEVELOPING COUNTRIES FORUM and a Technology Advisor at Coral Reef Innovation Hub, Douglas also oversees national robotics competitions in Ghana for ENJOY AI as the National Organizer. As the Chief Executive Officer of The MakersPlace since 2019, Douglas has driven strategic leadership and operational excellence. Furthermore, as the Founder and Micro:bit Ambassador for the Micro:bit Educational Foundation, significant contributions have been made toward promoting creativity among students through impactful projects. Other roles include serving as an Arm Ambassador, Director for the ECOWAS Sub-region at STEM.org, an Adjunct Lecturer at Accra Technical University, and a Program Coach at UNICEF StartUp Lab. Douglas holds a Master’s degree in Energy and Sustainable Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Electrical/Electronics Engineering and a Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
