Jens Olson

Jens Olson is a seasoned engineer specializing in machine learning hardware architecture, currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Arm since October 2017. Prior to this position, Jens worked at Samsung as a Principal Hardware Architect focusing on neural network hardware for a brief period in early 2017. Jens also held roles at Cypress Semiconductor Corporation, where responsibilities included power analysis and the design of controllers with error correction code (ECC). Experience at Spansion involved leading the architecture and design of acoustic co-processor chips, alongside previous design work for graphics hardware at S3 Graphics and engineering management at Trident Microsystems. Jens holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
