Wasim Shaikh

Wasim Shaikh is a Senior Engineer at Arm since February 2017, specializing in CPU performance modeling for next-generation ARM cores. Previously, Wasim held a Co-op Engineer role at AMD, focusing on CPU architecture and performance modeling, specifically branch predictor and I-cache pre-fetching in a C++ simulator. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wasim developed a digital logic simulator and encryption tools for RTL netlists, as well as a floating-point baseband processor for 5G wireless technology. Wasim's earlier experience includes a Hardware Engineer position at Marvell Semiconductor, programming RFIC microcontrollers, and a Software Test Engineer role at Avaya, emphasizing verification of VoIP phone security.
