Johnny Reid

Johnny Reid has a diverse work experience that spans multiple companies and roles. Johnny began their career at Biotech Partners Inc as a Program Coordinator at Berkeley High School, where they were responsible for curriculum development, report writing, and coordinating field trips and workshops for students.

Afterwards, they joined Bolt Threads as a Laboratory Technician, where they played a pivotal role in building and improving the biology lab. Johnny was responsible for tasks such as lab organization, sterilization requests, and consolidating standard operating procedures. Johnny later transitioned to the role of a Research Associate, where they conducted research on MYLO™ strain fruiting induction and explored the utility of various fungal strains. Johnny also worked on Bolt-Beauty research, testing the effectiveness of B-Silk™ and generating a tagged version for future experiments. Additionally, they contributed to refining chemical pretreatments for improved downstream processing.

Currently, Johnny is working at Armata Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Senior Research Associate. Prior to this role, they served as an Associate Scientist and then a Process Development Scientist.
