Stephen Holland has over 20 years of experience in the creative industry. In 2001, they began their career as Head of Design at Akita Ltd, where they managed a small team and dealt with web design based briefs. In 2010, they became Director of Holland&Haynes, where they worked until 2015. During this time, they also served as a Mentor for Landd in 2015 and an Advisor for TAXO'D in 2015. In 2017, they became Creative Direction at Y-cam Solutions Ltd, where they worked to review the brand position and ethos and develop a strong new creative language, approach and future visual communications. In 2018, they began working as a Brand Mentor for the Central Research Laboratory, advising start-ups on brand and marketing from a design led perspective. In 2020, Stephen became Co-founder & CMO of ARMD Limited, a portable IoT alarm system and insurtech for protecting valuables in transit or in locations where fixed line power or broadband isn't available. In 2021, they began working as a Virgin StartUp mentor.
Stephen Holland has a varied educational background. In 2020, they completed a Marketing Week Mini MBA with Mark Ritson, earning a Mini MBA in the field of Marketing. From 1997 to 2000, they attended Solent University and obtained a BA in Visual Communication. Prior to that, they attended the University of Gloucestershire from 1996 to 1997, where they earned a BTEC in Art and Design Foundation.
