J. Matthew Calligan

J. Matthew Calligan has over 20 years of experience in direct response copywriting and content conversion strategy. In 2008, they began their career as a Direct Response Copywriter for Copywrite Sherpa. In 2012, they joined AppAssure Software (now Rapid Recovery) as a Sales Manager, where they managed over 10 Account Reps, identified and qualified 5-10 new sales opportunities per day, and achieved the Top National Sales team in two of four quarters in the first year of the team's formation. In 2015, they became an Advisor for Arcfix, and an Advisor and Territory Manager for Mid-Atlantic and Fed for Infrascale. J. Matthew was promoted within 3 months to East Coast Account Manager, and was the highest performing sales rep in the company from October 2015 to October 2016. In 2017, they Co-Founded and became Vice President of Sales for Influents, where they built a 4 person sales team and closed $460,000 in ARR in the first 12 months of the company's existence. In 2018, they became a GW I-Corp Mentor at The George Washington University and a Mentor for the VCU Pre-Accelerator Program at the VCU da Vinci Center. J. Matthew is currently the Director of Growth Markets for ArmorText, the first secure Out of Band communications tool purpose built for Crisis Management and Incident Response.

J. Matthew Calligan graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Business with a degree in Finance, specializing in Financial Planning.
