Eric Svenson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Eric currently holds the position of Vice President, Engineering and Technical Operations at Armstrong since June 2021. Prior to this, they served as Vice President, Carrier Engineering at Westelcom from February 2020 to May 2021. Eric also held the role of Director of Engineering at Westelcom from January 2017 to 2020.
Before joining Westelcom, Eric worked as a Senior Network Architect at Trek Bicycle Corporation from 2013 to 2017. Eric started their career at Time Warner Cable, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Network Engineer, Digital Services Manager, and Network Engineer from 2005 to 2013.
Earlier in their career, they served as a Senior Network Administrator at Westelcom from 2000 to 2003. Eric Svenson brings a wealth of experience and expertise in network engineering and management to their current role at Armstrong.
Eric Svenson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2005. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from Syracuse University - Martin J. Whitman School of Management from 2015 to 2016.
In addition to their formal education, Eric obtained various certifications throughout their career. Eric achieved the SDWAN eXpert certification from Silver Peak in January 2017 and the SPSP certification from the same institution in December 2016. Eric also obtained the CCNP certification from Cisco in July 2012, the JNCIA certification from Juniper Networks in December 2011, and the CCNA certification from Cisco in February 2009.
Furthermore, Eric holds the MCSE certification from Microsoft, which they obtained in June 2001. Eric also achieved the MCP+ Internet certification from Microsoft in May 2000, and the MCP NT 4.0 certification from the same institution in August 1999. Additionally, they obtained the A+ certification from CompTIA in September 1998. Most recently, Eric obtained the JNCDA certification from Juniper Networks in November 2019.
