Becky Cotner

Becky began her career as a grain merchandiser right after obtaining her degree from the University of Illinois. She was a member of ADM’s management training program and traveled all over the Midwest learning every aspect of their company. After a few years, she left ADM and worked outside the agriculture industry. Within two years, she was back working as a merchandiser for CGB in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. After Diversified Services was created and built its own crop insurance company, Diversified Crop Insurance Services, she transferred to that side of the business.

At DCIS, she built the company’s first collateral and their first website. She managed the graphics department, as well, before moving into trip and meeting planning. She received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certificate and she continues that work today for ASNA.

Becky grew up in a farming community. Her father farmed before transitioning to selling life insurance. It’s only natural that farming and insurance are two things she’s been able to blend together in a career. She finds joy in being able to help farmers keep doing what they love. Over the years, she’s planned and attended many events, and her favorite part of crop insurance is the people she gets to meet out in the field.
