Stephen Richer

Stephen Richer currently serves as the Maricopa County Recorder, a position held since January 2021 after being elected in November 2020. Alongside this role, Stephen holds the title of Special Project Manager at Arnold Machinery Company and has been involved in various ventures focused on diverse projects, including serving on the Board of Directors for both The Harlan Institute and Arizona Humanities. Stephen's previous experience includes practicing law at two prominent firms, serving as a candidate for Maricopa County Recorder during a successful campaign, and co-founding GatherDC. Educationally, Stephen holds multiple degrees, including a JD from the University of Chicago Law School and a PhD in Political Science from Arizona State University.
