Erica Socker

Erica Socker has extensive work experience in health care and economics. Erica currently holds the position of Vice President of Health Care at Arnold Ventures, a role they have held since December 2017. Prior to this, Erica worked as a Health Economist at the Office of Management and Budget from June 2015 to December 2017. Erica also worked as an Analyst at the Congressional Budget Office from September 2014 to June 2015. Before that, Erica held various positions at The Brookings Institution, including Senior Research Associate at the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform from August 2012 to September 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Research Associate and Research Analyst at The Brookings Institution. Erica's earlier work experience includes serving as a Data/Income Support Graduate Intern at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities from August 2011 to August 2012. Erica began their career as a Graduate Instructor and Research Assistant at Texas A&M University from August 2006 to August 2011, where they taught courses on American Politics and Quantitative Research Methods and conducted research in the field.

Erica Socker has a strong educational background in political science, American politics, and quantitative methodology. Erica pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Political Science at Texas A&M University from 2006 to 2013. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2006, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics.
