George Callas has a diverse work experience spanning several years and roles. George is currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Public Finance at Arnold Ventures since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Managing Director at Steptoe & Johnson LLP from July 2018 to March 2022.
Before joining Steptoe & Johnson LLP, George Callas held various positions in the U.S. government. George served as Senior Tax Counsel in the Office of the Speaker at the U.S. House of Representatives from December 2015 to July 2018. George Callas attended the University of Florida, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from 1993 to 1996. Following this, they enrolled in The Wharton School from 1991 to 1993, although specific details regarding their degree or field of study are not provided. After completing their undergraduate education, George attended the University of Florida's Fredric G. Levin College of Law, where they earned a Juris Doctorate degree with Honors from 1996 to 1999. Subsequently, they pursued further specialization in taxation by completing a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida's Fredric G. Levin College of Law from 1999 to 2000.
