Jennifer Nelsen has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Jennifer began their career as a Law Clerk for The Honorable Melinda Harmon at the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas from 2007 to 2009. Following that, they worked as an Associate at Weil Gotshal and Manges from 2009 to 2013. Jennifer then moved to Winston & Strawn LLP, where they served as an Associate from 2013 to 2016. Jennifer joined the Laura and John Arnold Foundation in 2016 as an Assistant General Counsel and later became the Chief of Staff to the President and CEO. In 2018, they transitioned to Arnold Ventures and continued in the role of Chief of Staff until 2020. Jennifer then took on the position of Vice President of People and Culture from 2021 to 2023, before assuming their current role as the Chief People and Culture Officer.
Jennifer Nelsen earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in European History from Washington and Lee University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended New York Law School from 2003 to 2007 and obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
