Antonio Porro

Antonio Porro has been CEO of the Mondadori Group since April 2021.

He has also held the positions of vice president and chief executive officer of Mondadori Libri SpA since February 2018; chairman and chief executive officer of Mondadori Education SpA since June 2011; CEO of Rizzoli Education SpA and chairman of Rizzoli International Publications Inc. since September 2016.

Porro, from Milan, was born in 1965 and graduated in economics and commerce from the Catholic University of Milan.

In 1991 he began his career at Fininvest in the Business Development sector. In 1993 he joined Mondadori as Head of Development Projects.

Porro later gained experience of over ten years in Telecom Italia: from 1995, within the Business Division, he took on positions of increasing responsibility, including Strategic Marketing, and then moved - from 2001 - to the International Division as head of Operations of investee companies.

In January 2009 he returned to Mondadori as the Group's Mergers & Acquisitions manager; in 2011 he was appointed general manager of Educational and in January 2015 CEO of the educational area of ​​Mondadori Libri SpA.
