Joshua Rand

Joshua Rand is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in finance and asset management. As President of Arootah since June 2025, Joshua leads strategic initiatives and organizational growth. Previously, as Managing Director - Americas at Essentia Analytics from March 2017 to June 2025, Joshua drove over $10 million in sales and played a key role in expanding the US office while enhancing brand visibility across North America and globally. As Principal at Petra Partners from 2011 to 2017, Joshua managed two hedge funds and established strong investor relations. Joshua co-founded DJRN from 2009 to 2011, developing proprietary methodologies that significantly outperformed industry standards. Earlier roles include CEO & President of Sapotek, where Joshua raised $3.7 million in financing, and Capital Markets Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP, contributing to a major $1.5 billion tender offer. Joshua holds a BA in Public Policy from Brown University, an MSc in Political Economy from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a JD from Fordham University School of Law.
