Christie Newsom is an experienced Human Resources professional with a diverse background in various HR roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Human Resources Generalist at ARORA since November 2020, Christie previously held the position of Human Resources Specialist at World Services for the Blind from June 2017 to November 2020. Prior experience includes working as a TANF Training Instructor, TANF Case Manager, and Job Services/Unemployment Insurance Specialist at the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services from October 2010 to June 2017, as well as serving as an Accounting/Human Resources Specialist at City Corporation from September 2000 to March 2010. Christie holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership/Human Resource Development from Waldorf University, along with a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and an Associate of Arts in Psychology, both from Arkansas Tech University.

Mission Statement We restore lives through the recovery of organs and tissues. The Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency (ARORA) was established in 1987 as non-profit, independent organ procurement agency. ARORA is headquartered in Little Rock with a regional office in Fayetteville, is managed by an Executive Director and governed by a Board of Directors who are community volunteers. ARORA is also served by a ten member Advisory Council, representing various stake holders in transplantation, including transplant recipients and donor families. ARORA’s primary mission is to save lives by maximizing the opportunities for organ, eye, and tissue donation in Arkansas.
