Joey Azofeifa

Joey Azofeifa is the founder and CEO of Arpeggio Bio, a company that specializes in bioinformatics. Prior to starting Arpeggio Bio, Joey worked as a bioinformatics scientist at Merck, where they developed new models for data integration. Joey also worked as a data scientist at Boulder BioConsulting, Inc., where they provided consultation on next generation sequencing analysis and designed new statistical methods to integrate disparate data types. Joey has extensive experience with machine learning, probabilistic modeling, data visualization, and database management.

Joey Azofeifa attended Y Combinator as part of the S19 batch. Joey then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder. Lastly, they completed their undergraduate studies in Biology, General from Vassar College.
