Veselin Tilev has had a diverse range of experience in the financial industry. Veselin began their career at OFM Capital Partners as a Senior Prop Trader, where they focused on trading equity and IR on US exchanges. Veselin then moved on to Al-Madina for Finance and Investment as an Investment Analyst, where they were involved in fundamental valuation for Mergers & Acquisitions. After this, Veselin worked at MVS Research as the Head of Research, managing a team of equity analysts and conducting analysis of listed German companies. Veselin then joined HSBC, first as a Senior Quantitative Analyst and later as a Manager in Market Risk Model Review, where they conducted end-to-end model reviews and communicated with stakeholders. Most recently, Veselin worked at BHM Capital as a Market Maker and Quant, responsible for pricing, market making, and liquidity provision. Veselin played a key role in setting up a profitable Market Making & Liquidity Provision desk and developed market making algorithms. Currently, Veselin is employed as Associate Director and Head of Market Making at Arqaam Capital, leading the establishment and operation of their market making and liquidity provision business.

Veselin Tilev began their education at Sofia High School of Mathematics from 2003 to 2008, where they earned a High School Diploma with a focus on Mathematics and IT. Veselin then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Financial and Business Economics at Royal Holloway, University of London from 2008 to 2011. Following this, they undertook a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Banking and Finance at The University of Sheffield from 2012 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Veselin Tilev has obtained several certifications. In September 2011, they earned the Series 7 / General Securities license from Bullgarian Trading Group. In November 2015, they received a Statement of Participation in the course "Gravity! From the big bang to black holes" from Université Paris Diderot. Furthermore, in October 2018, they obtained their Master MS Excel Macros and VBA certification from Udemy.
