Mike Smith

Mike joined Arqiva in February 2023 as Executive Director, Smart Utilities Networks, leading their efforts to help customers capitalise on the benefits provided by accurate and timely delivery of data.

Mike has delivered across a number of leadership roles spanning commercial, operational and general management.

Previously, he led the Enterprise and Public Sector business at Virgin Media O2, and before that was Managing Director of Virgin Media Business - Direct. His career began in Insurance, then Banking Services before spending the last 20 years in telecoms spanning Energis, Cable & Wireless and Virgin Media.

Mike is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and holds a degree in Business Economics from Exeter University.

He lives in Wokingham, Berkshire with his wife and son. Family is his first priority and in his spare time he enjoys hockey, playing vets and coaching U14 boys for South Berkshire. He also admits to being a fair weather golfer.
