Brian Gruessner

Associate II, Microbiome Process Sciences at Arranta Bio

Brian Gruessner has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Brian currently holds the position of Associate II in the Microbiome Process Sciences department at Arranta Bio, starting in March 2021. Prior to this, Brian worked at Futran Solutions from September 2019 to March 2021 as a Bioprocess Associate, where they assisted in the design, performance, and analysis of experimental results in upstream process development. Brian gained skills in liquid handlers, mammalian cell culture, bioreactor use, and Spotfire.

Before joining Futran Solutions, Brian worked as a Graduate Student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from August 2016 to August 2019. Brian also served as a Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Medical School from November 2013 to June 2015, and again from January 2015 to June 2015. Additionally, they worked as a Research Technician at Smith College from August 2012 to November 2013.

Brian's early career includes positions at Scan-Optics as a Data Entry clerk from May 2012 to July 2012, and at MPS Plastics as an Injection Mold Technician from June 2008 to August 2008.

Brian Gruessner holds a Master's degree in Biology/Biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (2016-2019). Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Science (MS) in Biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2010 to 2011. In their earlier years of education, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry/Biophysics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, from 2007 to 2011.
