Nicole O’Brien

Nicole O’Brien is the Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for Arranta Bio, responsible for technical program design, scope generation, business development, and marketing. Nicole has over 20 years of experience in the biologics industry. She was a senior scientist at a small biotech company developing antibodies to sphingolipids. She then spent four years at Biogen in molecular oncology research, identifying novel antibody targets to and genes overexpressed in tumors.

Dr. O’Brien then moved into roles in various biologics contract manufacturing organizations as a technical subject matter expert designing customer CMC programs and generating scopes of work, including Gallus and FujiFilm Diosynth, where she gained significant experience in the CMC requirements for clients from pre-clinical to commercial production. Most recently, she took on the role as Executive Vice President, Client Management and BD Operations for Brammer Bio, a viral vector CDMO for the cell and gene therapy industry, where she was responsible for business development, program management, technical scope design and proposals. Through the acquisition of that CMO by Thermo Fisher Scientific, she subsequently served as the Subject Matter Expert and Head of Program Design.

Dr. O’Brien holds a B.S. in Biology and a Ph.D. in Cell/Molecular Biology from UC San Diego.
