Gary Laevsky, PhD, is an experienced professional in microscopy and imaging, currently serving as an Advisor at ArrePath since March 2022 and as the Director of the Confocal Imaging Facility at Princeton University since June 2013. Laevsky has also held the position of Lecturer at Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory and co-founded the Light-Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy Conference and Workshop. As a Founding Board Member of the North Atlantic Microscopy Society, Laevsky has contributed to the organization's formation and growth. Previous roles include Lab Director for the Analytical and Quantitative Light Microscopy course at the Marine Biological Laboratory and various positions in product management and applications support at companies such as Olympus and Nikon Instruments Inc. Laevsky holds a Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut and a BS in Biology from Southern Connecticut State University. Additional education includes training in emergency medicine.
