Erik Chavez

Erik Chavez has over 9 years of experience in various roles within the IT industry. In their current role as VP of Enterprise Cloud and DevOps at Arria NLG, Erik leads a team of DevOps engineers and oversees the optimization of application lifecycle management. Erik also developed and implemented best practices for secure, scalable, and reliable cloud architecture.

Prior to their current position, Erik worked at Microsoft as a Cloud Solutions Architect, where they designed and architected solutions across different workload types and Azure services. Erik collaborated with customer C-level executives, architects, engineers, and developers to drive customer success and adoption of the Azure cloud platform.

Before joining Microsoft, Erik served as the Director of Infrastructure at automotiveMastermind Inc., where they designed and maintained IT and security standards, optimized costs, and coordinated architecture across development, data science, and IT domains.

Erik also held roles at Olivia Travel as a Sr. Systems Administrator, Varsity Technologies as a System Administrator Team Lead, SlingeStone IT as a System Administrator, and Public Library of Science (PLOS) as a Senior Support Technician. In these positions, Erik managed IT service desks, supported servers and network devices, supervised technical staff, and conducted routine maintenance on servers and network infrastructure.
