Mike Cooper

Mike joined Arriva as the CEO and Arriva Management Board member in October 2020 following over two years as the CEO of Eurostar where he oversaw growth in international high-speed rail.

Mike has worked in many leadership roles across public transport, logistics, and travel and tourism. Prior to Eurostar, Mike was the CEO of Yodel – one of the UK’s largest delivery service companies - and before that worked for Arriva for nine years holding the position of Deputy CEO and MD Mainland Europe with responsibility for rail, bus, and trams across 13 countries.

During Mike’s earlier management career, he was the Chief Commercial Officer at EasyJet and part of the team that led its flotation in 2000, through to 2005. Before that, he was managing director, Portland Direct, part of the Thomson Travel Group.

Mike studied Economics at Newcastle University before gaining an MBA at Cranfield School of Management in 1991.
