Alex Fitzpatrick has a wealth of experience in the legal field, spanning over two decades. Alex began their career in 1993 as a Corporate Associate at Latham & Watkins. In 1996, they moved to Cooley LLP, where they served as a Corporate Associate. In 1998, they moved to Clifford Chance LLP (Rogers & Wells) in London, where they acted as a Senior Associate. Theirresponsibilities included advising European biotech, software, telecom and other technology companies in corporate finance, securities, and M&A practice. In 2002, they joined Vivendi Universal as the Director of Strategic Transactions. In 2004, they became the SVP, General Counsel & Secretary of Kintera, Inc., where they managed legal and corporate affairs and supervised the legal function as a member of the executive team. In 2008, they moved to Blackbaud, Inc. as the SVP, General Counsel of Blackbaud Internet Solutions. In 2010, they became the SVP, General Counsel & Secretary of Verenium Corporation (now a part of BASF), where they managed legal affairs, including intellectual property, regulatory and QA/QC departments as executive and Section 16 officer. In 2014, they joined Kyriba as the SVP, General Counsel & Secretary. In 2017, they moved to Evofem Biosciences as the EVP, General Counsel & Secretary, where they had overall responsibility for legal, governance, compliance, promotional review, regulatory, and intellectual property. Alex is currently the Chief Legal Officer at ARS Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a role they have held since 2022.
Alex Fitzpatrick attended the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law from 1992 to 1994, where they received a JD. Prior to that, they attended Georgetown University and received a BS in Mathematics.
