Barry Shaw

Barry Shaw has extensive work experience in the field of Quality Assurance and Control. Barry began their career in 1997 as a QC Analytical Chemist at Creative Biomolecules and went on to hold various roles in the field. From 1998 to 2000, they worked as a QC Analyst at MacroChem Corp, followed by a role as a QC Scientist at AIR in division of Alkermes from 2000 to 2001. Barry then served as a QC Project Manager at Sepracor from 2001 to 2001 before becoming the Owner of BSS Consulting in 2002. In 2003, they worked as a Senior QC Analyst at Stryker Biotech.

Barry's career in Quality Assurance and Control continued at Boston Scientific, where they held multiple roles from 2004 to 2011. These roles included Senior Quality Engineer, Senior QE for Global Stability Group, and other responsibilities such as managing a Medical Device Real Time Aging Facility and supporting analytical development for the Taxus clinical program.

From 2011 to 2018, Barry worked at Arsenal Medical, 480 Biomedical, and Lyra Therapeutics. Barry started as a Principal Quality Engineer at 480 Biomedical, then took on the role of Senior Manager/Director of Quality, overseeing the development and implementation of ISO 13485/FDA 820 compliant quality systems. At Arsenal Medical, they served as the Senior Director of Quality, focusing on setting the quality direction for the company.

Barry's most recent position is as the VP of Quality at Arsenal Medical, a role they began in April 2021. In this role, they provide direction and develops QA and QMS processes for the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and customer quality audit requirements.
