Jeffrey Groom II has a diverse work experience in the field of medical innovation and commercialization. Jeffrey started their career at the Michigan Nanotechnology Institute for Medicine and Biological Sciences as a Research Lab Specialist, where they conducted research on nanoemulsion adjuvanted vaccines. Jeffrey then joined the UofM Medical Innovation Center as an Innovation Fellow, collaborating with physicians and experts to assess needs in cardiovascular surgery and learning about the commercialization process for medical devices. At the same company, they also served as a C2C Project Manager/Design Engineer Associate, managing multiple projects and performing risk assessments.
Currently, Jeffrey is working at Arsenal Medical, where they have held various roles. Jeffrey started as an R&D Engineer II and then progressed to Senior Engineer and later Principal Engineer. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Innovation.
Jeffrey Groom II obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E) degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biochemical from the University of Michigan. Jeffrey completed this program between 2004 and 2008. Subsequently, Jeffrey pursued a Master of Science in Engineering (M.S.E) degree in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in Biomaterial from the University of Michigan. Jeffrey completed this program between 2008 and 2009.
