Carol Hamburger

Carol Hamburger currently serves as the Executive Director at the Art Institute of Chicago since February 2021. Prior to this role, Carol held various positions within the City of Chicago from August 2003 to September 2019, including Managing Deputy Comptroller, Deputy Budget Director, and Assistant Budget Director. Carol's professional journey began at the Chicago Park District in the Budget Office from December 1999 to August 2003. Carol Hamburger holds a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy from American University, earned between 1996 and 1999, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Maryland, completed from 1981 to 1986.
