Nancy Chen is an experienced arts professional currently serving as the Associate Director of Gallery Activation and Interpretation at the Art Institute of Chicago since September 2019. In this role, Nancy produces creative public programs that enhance audience engagement with the museum’s collections and exhibitions. Prior to this position, Nancy held the roles of Assistant Director and Educator at the Art Institute, as well as Engagement Manager at Make The World Better Foundation and Senior Program Manager at Asian Arts Initiative. Nancy holds a Master of Arts in Creative Writing and Art History from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia, along with an affiliate degree from UCL.
