George Chumbipuma is a dedicated professional with a strong background in scientific computing and mathematics, currently serving as a Scientific Computing Intern in the Computing Scholar Program at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since May 2025. In addition to this role, George is a Graduate Research Assistant at Rice University, collaborating in the field of Computational Applied Mathematics and Operations Research, and a Virtual Math Instructor at Art of Problem Solving. George founded Pumatics, where the role of Founder and Lead Educator is undertaken, and has also gained valuable experience as a Summer Research Intern at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Previously, experience includes Professional Leadership Coaching at Rice University's Doerr Institute for New Leaders and teaching positions at Elite Prep and San Jose State University. Academically, George is pursuing a PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics at Rice University after earning a Master's degree in Mathematics from San Jose State University, along with dual Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from UC Irvine.
